The role involves working with a dynamic team on renewable energy projects, including solar, wind, geothermal, battery storage, carbon capture, renewable natural gas, green hydrogen, and electric transmission projects. This is an exciting opportunity to support senior associates and partners in working with project developers, lenders, and investors in the energy sector, while gaining exposure to cutting-edge developments in federal tax law related to energy transition.Location:Duties:Support senior attorneys in advising project developers, lenders, and investors on renewable energy and energy transition projects.Work on complex project finance and M&A transactions within the energy sector.Provide guidance on renewable energy tax incentives, including tax credits under the Inflation Reduction Act and partnership taxation.Draft and review legal documents related to tax issues in project development and financing.Assist with tax structuring for large-scale energy projects, focusing on tax equity investments and financing.Collaborate with a team of professionals across different practice areas, ensuring the smooth integration of tax considerations into project work.Participate in client meetings and contribute to the development of legal strategies.Stay up-to-date with developments in tax law, particularly as it relates to renewable energy and energy transition.Requirements:2-3 years of experience as a tax lawyer, preferably with a focus on renewable energy.Familiarity with renewable energy tax incentives, including various tax credits available under the Inflation Reduction Act.Strong academic credentials and experience in project finance or energy tax matters.LLM in taxation preferred but not required.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously and work well under pressure in a team-oriented environment.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.LLM in Taxation (preferred).Strong academic record and credentials.Certifications:Membership in the state bar where the candidate will be practicing.Skills:Solid understanding of renewable energy tax incentives and partnership taxation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in tax law.Experience in project finance and M&A transactions, particularly in the energy sector.Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across various practice areas and locations.Highly organized with a keen attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities.#J-18808-Ljbffr
