Purchasing Assistant Vacancy - Staten Island - Up to $60,000 per annum base salary
An exciting opportunity for a Purchasing Assistant to join an owner managed organization on Staten Island. The business have an incredible culture which is collaborative, and a leadership team who are passionate about ensuring employees have growth and development opportunities.
The Purchasing Assistant will report directly into the Purchasing Manager and will be responsible for:
- Managing vendor relationships
- Management of PO processes
- Inventory control and reconciliations
- Monitoring the movement of inventory and stock throughout the supply chain
- Product pricing reviews
- Supporting the Purchasing Manager with sourcing of new product lines
- Inventory and stock sales and movement reporting
- Inventory and purchasing administrative tasks when required
- Ad hoc duties when needed
To be considered applicants will:
- Have experience of working in a similar position within purchasing
- Be able to demonstrate working knowledge and experience of inventory and stock reporting and control
- Ideally have experience within a supply chain environment. Experience within wholesale/retail is advantageous
- Have good Excel skills ideally with experience of V-lookups and Pivot Tables
- Be willing to work onsite at the companies HQ on Staten Island five days per week
- Have an interest in personal and career development
- Ideally have experience in an owner managed/small-medium sized environment
This position is an urgent requirement due to the expansion and growth within the organizations. Applicants must be willing to be site based on Staten Island.
