Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain release-related documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Facilitate release technical bridges and manage meetings with internal and external stakeholders for release activities.
  • Create and maintain Azure DevOps (AzDO) pipelines for .NET Framework and .NET Core applications.
  • Manage, update, and maintain transforms for tokenization of web/app configs and appSettings.json files.
  • Create and maintain Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines in Octopus Deploy and Jenkins.
  • Deploy release packages to internal and external environments.
  • Review, create, and maintain release packages for external deployment.
  • Validate application and IIS configurations to ensure the application is running as expected.
  • Triage deployment and configuration issues in both internal and external environments.
  • Work closely with DBAs to execute automated SQL database restores in internal environments.
  • Ensure efficient release management and deployment processes.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience as a Computer Systems Analyst or Computer Specialist.
  • Proven ability to implement computer systems following a phased approach, including requirements analysis, system design, installation, integration, and testing.
  • Proficient in configuration management and software integration, with a strong understanding of interpreting test results and providing solutions for unsatisfactory results.
  • Familiarity with life-cycle support, including maintenance, administration, and management of systems.
  • Hands-on experience with deploying and managing .NET applications using IIS.
  • Expertise in managing and updating .NET Framework and .NET Core configuration files, such as web.config, app.config, and appSettings.json.
  • Willingness to work on weekends (at least once a month).
  • Ability to handle the workload, including internal builds and internal/external deployments.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least one year of experience with State of Maryland SDLC deliverable templates.
  • Experience with Octopus Deploy or Jenkins.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Team Foundation Server (TFS) or Azure DevOps (AzDO).

Certifications:
Relevant certifications in deployment, DevOps, or similar fields are a plus, but not required.
