We are seeking a detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our clients growing team in Daytona Beach, FL!
Our client is a premier luxury custom home builder, specializing in high-end, single-family homes. With a team of over 300 employees and continued growth, they take pride in designing and building beautiful homes across Florida.
As the Legal Assistant, this individual will work closely with our legal team, assisting with the preparation of documents related to property sales, land acquisition, real estate transactions, and other legal matters that arise within our operations. This is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in real estate law while working for a fast-growing company that is renowned for building luxury homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with streamlining processes and improving efficiency within the legal department, including managing document systems.
- Coordinate with other departments to track, organize, and manage contracts from proposal to execution.
- Support legal proceedings such as litigation, mediation, arbitration, and responses to complaints.
- Help develop and support company risk management initiatives in compliance with legal regulations and internal policies.
- Assist in drafting, redlining, compiling, and organizing complex legal documents and contracts.
- Maintain and renew company licensing and other business entity documentation.
- Conduct legal research and compile data as needed.
- Provide general administrative support to the legal department as required.
Position Requirements:
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Proficiency with DocuSign.
- At least 2 years of experience in a legal or administrative role.
- Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with internal teams and external clients.
- Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and adhering to the highest ethical standards.
