Ultimate Staffing is seeking a Tools Management Specialist for our client in Grapevine, TX. This role is 100% onsite, Direct Hire with a starting salary of $50K-$53K based on experience. Key Responsibilities:
1. Tool Selection & Evaluation:
o Evaluate and recommend tools for design, simulation, testing, and other engineering functions based on the company's requirements.
o Assess existing tools to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the team and the organization.
o Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in tools and technologies relevant to engineering processes.
2. Implementation & Integration:
o Lead the implementation of new tools, ensuring they integrate seamlessly with existing workflows, systems, and software.
o Coordinate with vendors and internal teams for the installation and configuration of engineering tools.
o Ensure smooth deployment of tools, including data migration, user access setup, and configuration.
3. Tool Maintenance & Support:
o Oversee the routine maintenance of engineering tools, ensuring they remain functional and efficient.
o Troubleshoot technical issues with tools and resolve them in a timely manner.
o Provide technical support and training to end-users to ensure optimal tool usage.
4. Tool Optimization:
o Continuously monitor and evaluate the performance of tools to identify opportunities for optimization.
o Implement improvements and upgrades to enhance tool efficiency, usability, and performance.
o Work with teams to identify pain points and address them through better tool configuration or updates.
5. Documentation & Reporting:
o Maintain comprehensive documentation of tools, including their configurations, usage guidelines, and troubleshooting procedures.
o Track tool usage and generate reports on tool performance, cost-efficiency, and ROI (Return on Investment).
o Prepare reports for management and stakeholders on tool performance, issues, and improvement efforts.
6. Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
o Work closely with engineering, IT, and procurement teams to ensure that the tools meet technical and business needs.
o Participate in cross-department meetings to gather feedback and align tool capabilities with departmental goals.
o Ensure that tools support the broader organizational objectives, such as quality control, project timelines, and resource management.
7. Compliance & Security:
o Ensure that all tools adhere to industry standards, regulations, and security requirements.
o Implement best practices for data security and integrity while using engineering tools.
o Manage software licensing and compliance to avoid unauthorized tool use and ensure all licenses are up to date.
8. Cost Management:
o Monitor tool-related expenses and help optimize costs by negotiating with vendors or selecting cost-effective solutions.
o Manage the budgeting process for tools and tool-related resources.
9. Team Leadership
* Responsible for maintaining a positive work environment while supporting the company's culture.
* Responsible for fostering a healthy and safe work environment, focusing on the well-being of all associates.
* Maintains and strengthens internal, external customer and supplier relationships. Communicates and works with all business partners.
* Ensures inventory management and allocation flows product through the warehouse in the most cost efficient and productive manner.
