Position Summary

As a Heavy Civil Estimator, you’ll be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates, analyzing project plans, and working with vendors, subcontractors and in line with regulations to ensure we deliver high-quality projects within budget. We’re looking for someone with strong analytical skills, a keen attention to detail, and solid knowledge of the Dallas construction market.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop accurate estimates based on project plans, labor, materials, and timelines.
• Work closely with vendors and subcontractors to secure competitive pricing.
• Compile comprehensive reports and present project estimates to teams and clients.
• Stay current with Dallas-area market trends, material costs, local construction regulations and codes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of construction estimating experience, ideally in (heavy) civil fields
• Proficient in construction estimating software (e.g., ProEst, PlanSwift) and Excel.
• Familiarity with Dallas construction costs, codes, and market trends.
