Cullerton Group has a new remote opportunity for an Electrical Engineer 2 in Chillicothe, IL. This is a long term contract. It can lead to permanent employment with our customer. Compensation is $42/hr + OT including benefits, vision, dental, health insurance, 401K and holiday pay. Cullerton Group will provide sponsorship.
Reverse engineer existing harness designs through testing and dissection. - Responsible for maintenance tasks (Updates for compliance, obsolescence and supplier requests, etc.) on existing tools. - Collaborate with existing suppliers to identify alternate parts and solutions to existing issues. - Complete different levels of engineering work for various diagnostic service tools. - Introduce new diagnostic service tools as required.
Hybrid position but will need to report onsite at least three days per week from start of assignment. - Could move to fully onsite based on business needs. - Typical day will be working on diagnostic projects within the five-person team. - Project work consists of research, electrical knowledge application and interactions with customers and the team.
Experience in electrical engineering (2-4 years) - Electrical troubleshooting experience on various circuits and components. - Experience installing/working with harnesses on various applications (knows best practices). - Testing of various components. - Degree is a requirement : Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering. Will consider Master's or above applicable project/internship experience toward requirement but durations must be listed on resumes.
Technical Skills (Required) - Must understand electrical systems, electronics and communications specifically between electrical devises. - Ability to understand complex wiring circuits for test equipment and machines. - Ability to read prints and understand requirements needed to produce parts. - Ability to create databases with parameters needed for transmissions. (Desired) - If they have CAT experience is a plus - Background in test, preferably on heavy equipment, industrial, automotive. - Experience using instrumentation – voltmeters, scopes, metrology, data collection devices
