About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Operations Officer (COO) with a strong background in leadership and oversight of various essential departments, including facilities services, transportation, and safety and security. The COO will be responsible for the coordination, monitoring, and prioritization of the workflow requirements to ensure efficient daily operations and services. This role involves assisting in the day-to-day operations of the activities and services managed by the Superintendent and ensuring prompt and efficient interaction with all direct reports. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 7 years of supervisory, administrative, and leadership experience, with a focus on planning, development, and supervision of managers and directors. Knowledge of school district operations, educational legislation, and experience in facility management, construction, and renovation projects is essential. Applicants for the COO position at the company should possess a college degree, with a preference for a degree in a relevant field, and hold a Chief School Business Official Endorsement (CSBO) or equivalent certifications. The role requires a candidate with a proven track record in leading significant construction and renovation projects, as well as experience in facility maintenance and a strong understanding of all trades related to facilities operations. The COO will also be involved in health and life safety programs, transportation operations, and the development and maintenance of safety and security programs.
