Job Summary:
The Corporate Counsel will provide legal advice and support on a wide range of corporate matters, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance. This role will involve drafting and negotiating contracts, conducting legal research, assisting with policy development, and representing the company in legal proceedings. Immigration experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
•Provide legal advice and support on corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions, corporate governance, and compliance.
•Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements.
•Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant laws and regulations.
•Assist in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
•Collaborate with internal departments to ensure legal compliance and mitigate risks.
•Represent the company in legal proceedings and manage external legal counsel when necessary.
•Immigration law experience is a plus.
Required Qualifications:
•Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
•Admission to the state bar of New Jersey.
•Experience in corporate law, preferably in a law firm or corporate legal department.
•Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance.
•Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
•Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
