Description
Our busy law firm is growing and we are looking for a litigation attorney to join our probate litigation division. The ideal candidate will have a couple of years of litigation experience. You would be mentored by more senior attorneys at the firm and will have direct client contact and court experience from the start. The main office is in San Diego so this would be a remote position.
Responsibilities
•Complete legal research and prepare motions, pleadings, and briefs
•Represent clients in court to argue motions during legal proceedings
•Counsel clients by assessing options and determining the best course of action for a successful outcome
•Draft correspondence, legal pleadings, motions, and briefs
•Take responsibility for administrative staff relating to client invoicing/billing records, setting up meetings with clients and completing tasks
Qualifications
•Strong knowledge of legal research programs such as Westlaw and Lexis products is required
•Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
•Over 1 year of experience representing clients in a law firm
•Decision-making, public speaking, problem-solving, interpersonal skills, and communication skills are a must
•Must be a member of your local bar association - active member preferred
