About the Role

The Company is seeking a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to lead and oversee all revenue generation activities. The CDO will be a key figure in the organization's effectiveness, responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive, data-driven fundraising plan. This plan should establish a diverse and sustainable funding mix, including corporate sponsorships, individual and major donors, foundation grants, and special events. The successful candidate will be expected to meet or exceed fundraising goals, enhance the engagement of the Board in fundraising efforts, and ensure the growth of the organization's programs and services. Essential duties include identifying and cultivating donor relationships, leading the Development team, and contributing to the organization's overall strategy and leadership.The ideal candidate for the CDO position at the company will have a strong connection to and passion for the mission of Asian and Pacific Islander leadership development. Professional qualifications include a minimum of 10 years' experience in revenue-generating roles, a proven track record of successful fundraising, and experience in managing a development team. The candidate should be adept at using various fundraising strategies and have a solid understanding of the donor environment. Personal qualities should include superior communication skills, strategic thinking, attention to detail, and a commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion. A Bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for candidates holding a CFRE certification. The role demands a motivated, independent leader who can work flexibly and is willing to travel as needed.
