About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to join their dynamic, mission-driven organization. The CDO will be a key leader in the company, responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight of all fundraising and development activities. This includes setting and achieving ambitious revenue goals, building and maintaining relationships with key donors and partners, and leading a team to ensure the company's fundraising efforts are innovative and competitive. The ideal candidate will be a true rainmaker, with a proven track record in development and a strong commitment to the company's mission of dismantling employment barriers for work-authorized immigrants, refugees, and asylees.Candidates for the CDO position at the company should have at least 15 years of professional development experience, with a focus on multi-site regional or national nonprofit organizations. The role requires a strategic leader with a relational approach to fundraising, adept at communicating the philanthropic value proposition and inspiring others to support the mission. The CDO will be expected to have a flexible and adaptable style, with a high energy and passion for the company's work. Experience in impact investing and earned revenue models is a plus, and a strong commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion is essential. The successful candidate will be a collaborative and inclusive leader, known for their honesty, transparency, and ability to manage through change with poise.
