About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Development Officer (CDO) to play a pivotal role in the organization's mission to increase racial equity in K-12 computer science education. This includes corporate, individual, and foundation donors. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, be a skilled strategist, and possess the ability to build and sustain productive donor relationships. Key responsibilities for the CDO include identifying and engaging with a variety of funding sources, providing regular performance reports, and ensuring ethical fundraising practices. The role also involves team leadership, event management, and close collaboration with the leadership team to align fundraising efforts with the organization's goals.Candidates for the CDO position at the company should have at least 10 years of experience in development, with a background in entrepreneurial and growth contexts. The role requires a leader with outstanding communication skills, the ability to manage a high-performing team, and a deep commitment to the values of the organization, which include a focus on closing gaps, opening doors, and destroying barriers.
