About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to join their team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the organization's financial operations, particularly in the context of a buy-and-build strategy. This hands-on position involves leading the consolidation of financial activities across multiple entities, providing strategic guidance, and ensuring the implementation of financial best practices. The VP of Finance will be a key member of the senior finance team, responsible for financial policies, accounting practices, and the preparation of financial reports. They will also oversee the ERP implementation, maintain accounting systems, and manage treasury functions. The role requires a dynamic problem-solver with a passion for continuous improvement, and the ability to mentor and lead the accounting and finance team.Applicants for the Vice President of Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with an MBA preferred. A minimum of 10 years' experience in financial and accounting roles, particularly within private equity-backed organizations, is required. The ideal candidate will have a background in service-based industries, with experience in construction management or field service environments being a plus. Big 4 public accounting experience is highly desirable. The role demands expertise in financial planning and analysis, budgeting, forecasting, tax, treasury, KPI development, risk management, and working capital management. Strong leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills are essential, as is the ability to provide detailed financial analysis to support business decisions and to evaluate the financial implications of acquisitions and strategic partnerships.
