About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Finance to serve as a key business partner to the President and management, with a focus on providing day-to-day financial leadership and coordination for the segment. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing financial strategies to drive profitable growth, overseeing financial planning and analysis, and providing decision support on capital management, business development, and supplier activities. This role requires a leader with a strong background in financial modeling, problem-solving, and strategic thinking, as well as the ability to manage and lead a finance team effectively.Key responsibilities for the Vice President of Finance include managing the development of financial models, leading the operating segment through financial cycles, and working with segment leadership to refine financial and operating statistics. The role also involves providing strategic financial input, ensuring the team utilizes state-of-the-art techniques, and coaching the finance team. The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance, with a Master's, CPA, and/or CFA preferred, and a minimum of 10-15 years' of experience in financial planning and analysis or financial leadership. Strong interpersonal skills, the ability to influence business leaders, and experience in horse racing or gaming are desired. The candidate must be detail-oriented, possess excellent financial acumen, and be able to pass suitability requirements for a gaming license.
