About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead and direct all financial activities at the highest management level. The CFO will be responsible for formulating long-range financial goals, developing financial policies, and serving as the lead negotiator for the County Administration. This executive will oversee the Finance and Administrative Services Department, which is the internal support system for the County's service delivery network, and will be an integral part of the executive management team. The role involves substantial interaction with all County departments, providing strategic financial guidance, and ensuring the prudent use of public funds. The CFO will also be involved in high-risk negotiations, debt management, and will be expected to maintain a focus on transparency, accountability, and ethical governance.The ideal candidate for the CFO position at the company should have a solid foundation in public sector finance, strong analytical skills, and the ability to effectively communicate complex financial information. A bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, or a related field is required, with a preference for a master's degree and CPA certification. The candidate should have at least 10 years' experience in public finance administration, including 6 years in an executive capacity, and a proven track record in budget management, financial forecasting, and strategic planning. Experience in both public and private sector financing, as well as expertise in areas such as risk management, debt structure, and procurement, is essential. The CFO should be a proactive leader, adept at fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement, and be committed to optimizing resources and pursuing innovative financial solutions.
