About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Operations to provide senior leadership in the management of warehouse operations, fleet services, facilities, transportation, and equipment maintenance. The successful candidate will be responsible for fiscal planning, resource allocation, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and government regulations. This role involves analyzing and planning for future growth, leading compliance efforts with regulatory agencies, and developing contingency protocols for emergency situations. The VP of Operations will also be a key partner with Sales and Marketing to resolve customer and delivery issues and will be expected to continuously improve operational strategies based on industry knowledge.Applicants for the Vice President of Operations position at the company should ideally hold a Master's degree or MBA and have over 10 years' experience in food service or related broadline distribution. Formal training in Lean principles and methodologies is also preferred. The role requires a leader who can own the budget development process, manage operational performance, and support other departments in achieving their financial and service goals. The VP of Operations will be expected to lead and direct all aspects of operational performance, with a focus on meeting or exceeding financial targets, and to actively support safety initiatives. Strong leadership, strategic planning, and problem-solving skills are essential for this position.
