Job Details

We are seeking a dynamic and seasoned Director of Engineering to join our innovative software product division. This is an exceptional opportunity for a strategic thinker who is ready to make a significant impact in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing our Product Engineering department, ensuring we continue to deliver cutting-edge, high-quality SaaS to our clients. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the tech services industry.

Responsibilities:

As the Permanent Director of Engineering, you will be expected to:

1. Lead and manage the Product Engineering team, fostering an environment of innovation, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
2. Oversee the development and execution of strategic engineering plans in line with the company's objectives.
3. Ensure that all engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with the organization's established policies and objectives.
4. Work closely with other department heads to improve cross-functional collaboration and streamline processes.
5. Implement and manage budgeting and resource allocation strategies for the engineering department.
6. Drive innovation and stay up-to-date with the latest technologies and industry trends to ensure our services remain competitive.
7. Ensure product quality and adherence to company standards while meeting client expectations.
8. Evaluate and manage team performance, providing mentorship and career development opportunities for team members.
9. Develop and implement risk management strategies to minimize potential issues.

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate for the Director of Engineering position should possess the following:

1. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field; a Master's Degree is a plus.
2. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a leadership role within the tech services industry, specifically in Product Engineering.
3. Proven track record in managing and delivering high-quality tech services.
4. Strong understanding of the latest technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
5. Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a diverse team.
6. Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
