Position Overview
We are seeking a highly-skilled and self-motivated Civil Litigation Paralegal to join our dynamic legal team. This role will provide you an opportunity to deepen your understanding of the legal industry, particularly in the realm of family law.
Key Responsibilities
1. Provide comprehensive litigation support to attorneys, including the preparation of legal documents, conducting legal research, and managing legal correspondence.2. Assist in the discovery process by organizing, tracking, and managing a large volume of documents, data, and other information relevant to ongoing litigation cases.3. Ensure legal compliance in all activities, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of current laws and regulations, and advising the team as necessary.4. Conduct thorough legal case analysis, identifying key issues, potential risks, and strategic opportunities to inform the development of case strategies.5. Facilitate effective client communication, ensuring clients are kept informed about case progress, potential challenges, and next steps.6. Collaborate with the legal team to prepare for trial, including drafting pleadings, preparing exhibits, and coordinating witness testimony
Requirements
1. 0-5 years of experience as a litigation paralegal, preferably within the family law or civil litigation sector.2. A bachelor's degree in law, paralegal studies, or a related field. Paralegal certification is highly desirable.3. Proficiency in legal document preparation, legal compliance, legal discovery, and legal research.4. Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to conduct comprehensive legal case analysis.5. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective client communication and legal correspondence.6. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet tight deadlines.7. A keen attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.8. Familiarity with legal software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.9. Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team, contributing to a collaborative and supportive work environment.
