The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in handling trial cases and the ability to work independently while managing a caseload. The firm offers a collaborative environment where the attorney will have hands-on experience and the opportunity to further develop trial skills.Location:Astoria, NYDuties:Manage a caseload of personal injury cases from inception through trial.Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery responses.Negotiate settlements with insurance companies and opposing counsel.Represent clients in court, presenting compelling arguments and evidence.Conduct depositions, write motions, appeals, and trial preparation.Build and maintain strong relationships with clients.Handle daily court appearances and client interactions.Collaborate with senior attorneys on case strategy and development.Requirements:5+ years of experience in personal injury litigation.Proven trial experience and strong trial advocacy skills.Ability to manage a caseload efficiently and work independently.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.Experience in negotiating settlements and managing client relationships.Active license to practice law in New York (New Jersey license is a plus).Education:Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active member of the New York State Bar (New Jersey Bar is a plus).Skills:Proficiency in legal drafting and document preparation.Familiarity with legal research tools such as Westlaw.Excellent trial preparation and courtroom experience.Strong negotiation skills and ability to handle settlements.Ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
