**Key Responsibilities:**
- **Innovative Menu Development:**
- Conceptualize, design, and execute a dynamic menu featuring new, innovative dishes that spotlight seasonal, locally sourced ingredients.
- Continuously research and incorporate culinary trends to keep our offerings fresh and exciting.
- **Catering & Events:**
- Lead the culinary planning and execution for all catering functions and special events, working closely with the events team to customize menus that exceed client expectations.
- Develop and manage exclusive event menus that reflect the distinct personality and high standards of Embers Restaurant.
- **Kitchen Management:**
- Oversee daily kitchen operations ensuring exceptional quality, presentation, and consistency across all dishes.
- Maintain rigorous food safety and sanitation protocols.
- Manage inventory, cost control, and ordering processes to optimize efficiency and reduce waste.
- **Team Leadership & Collaboration:**
- Mentor and lead a dedicated culinary team, fostering a collaborative and creative work environment.
- Collaborate with management on pricing, menu adjustments, and strategic planning based on customer feedback and market insights.
- **Brand & Community Engagement:**
- Represent Embers Restaurant at community and culinary events, showcasing innovative dishes and our commitment to quality.
- Contribute to marketing initiatives by creating visually appealing and shareable culinary experiences.
**Qualifications:**
- Proven experience as a Chef in a fast-paced, innovative culinary environment; fine dining, catering, or event-focused backgrounds are strongly preferred.
- A demonstrated track record of developing creative, trend-setting dishes.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills with a passion for mentoring culinary talent.
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern culinary techniques, food safety standards, and ingredient sourcing.
- Culinary degree or equivalent professional training; advanced certifications are a plus.
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic, creative environment while managing multiple priorities.
