Job Title: Generalist Laboratory Technician
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Generalist Laboratory Technician to join our team at Banner University Medical Center in Phoenix. As a Generalist, you will be responsible for performing waived and non-waived tests with supervision, ensuring accurate and timely results.
Main Responsibilities:

• Perform laboratory tests according to established policies and procedures.
• Collect, receive, and process biological specimens into the laboratory.
• Assist with department compliance with regulatory requirements, such as CLIA '88, JCAHO, CAP, and OSHA.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in a laboratory science or medical laboratory technology from an accredited institution.
• Equivalent laboratory training and experience meeting the requirements defined in the CLIA regulation 42CFR493.1489.
• Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy where applicable.

Preferred Qualifications:

• MLT certification (ASCP, AMT, HEW, AAB).
• Basic knowledge of specimen requirements and medical terminology.
• Previous experience with phlebotomy and processing.
