Job Title: Medical Laboratory Scientist or Medical Laboratory Technician
About the Role:
We are seeking a qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) or Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) to join our Transfusion Medicine/Blood Bank team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a busy and dynamic environment with a variety of testing responsibilities, including Blood Typing, Antibody identification, Eluate testing, Direct Antiglobulin Testing, and Antibody Titers.

Key Responsibilities:
This role performs waived and non-waived tests according to established policies and procedures. The incumbent will assist with department compliance with regulatory requirements and may be responsible for collecting, receiving, and processing biological specimens into the laboratory.
Requirements:
To qualify, applicants must meet one of the following criteria: Associate degree in a laboratory science, Bachelor's degree in chemical or biological science, equivalent laboratory training and experience, or meet other defined criteria. Foreign educated candidates must provide a detailed credential evaluation. Demonstrated competency in phlebotomy is also required in applicable departments.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• MLT certification
• Basic knowledge of specimen requirements and medical terminology
• Previous experience with phlebotomy and processing
