STAFF SERVICES MANAGER II (SUPERVISORY)

Under general direction of the Assistant Deputy Director, Security/Law Enforcement Division, the Staff Services Manager II (SSM II) is responsible for overseeing and administering the functions of the Draw Management, Security Claims, and Retailer Services Programs of the Lottery. The incumbent is directly responsible for the oversight of the policies, procedures, guidelines, and safeguards to ensure the integrity and regulatory compliance with Lottery regulations; provides effective, efficient, and equitable management and acts as a backup manager for the first-line supervisors in those programs.

This position is headquartered in Sacramento and is eligible for a hybrid telework schedule. Employees must be able to report to their assigned headquarters office as assigned. Travel expense to and from the assigned headquarters are the responsibility of the employee. Eligibility for telework requires the employee to reside in California per California Government Code Section 14200.

Working Conditions

  • Schedule: M-F 8-5 (may require irregular hours and varying shifts)
  • Travel: Some travel may be required
  • Other: Incumbent may work odd and irregular hours, as well as varying shifts. Overnight travel (including out-of-state) may be required.
