As we continue our impressive growth trend, we are seeking a full-time Human Resources Assistant to join our team at our office in Post Falls.
Job Summary
The HR Assistant will play a critical role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources department. This position requires a strong understanding of HR processes, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to maintain confidentiality. The ideal candidate will have experience in HR and a minimum of some college coursework in a related field.
Duties / Responsibilities
- Assist in the recruitment process, including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, and onboarding new employees.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date employee records in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Support payroll processing by ensuring employee data is current and addressing payroll inquiries.
- Assist with benefits administration, including enrollment, changes, and answering employee questions.
- Coordinate employee training sessions and maintain training documentation.
- Help organize and execute employee engagement activities, such as company events and recognition programs.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with labor laws and company policies.
- Serve as a point of contact for employees regarding HR-related inquiries, escalating issues to the HR Manager as necessary.
- Perform general administrative tasks to support the HR department, such as preparing reports, correspondence, and presentations.
Required Skills / Abilities
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an HR-related role.
- Some college coursework in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (an Associate's degree or higher is preferred).
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and familiarity with HRIS systems.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and the ability to work independently.
- Knowledge of federal and state labor laws is a plus.
