MSP Infrastructure & Systems Administrator - "Design, deploy, and manage complex infrastructures with security-first principles for a growing MSSP business."

We are seeking an Infrastructure & Systems Administrator with strong expertise in building and managing full infrastructure stacks, coupled with cybersecurity knowledge, to join our mission-driven team. In this role, you'll design, deploy, and manage complex client environments for our growing Managed Services and Security Provider (MSSP) business, supporting a diverse range of clients, with an emphasis on those manufacturing products for the Defense Industrial Base (DIB) and are pursuing CMMC compliance.

Our company culture thrives on being Happy, Hungry, Humble, and Honest-values that drive us to deliver exceptional service to our clients and give back to our community. If you're ready to build, secure, and maintain high-performing systems, join us as we grow towards our $10M MSSP initiative.

What You'll Do:

  1. Deploy and manage complete server room stacks, including routers, switches, firewalls, SANs, Windows Server environments, and virtualization platforms.
  2. Design and implement infrastructure with security-by-design principles, ensuring reliability, scalability, and compliance.
  3. Handle advanced configurations of:
    1. Routers, VLANs, QoS, and VPNs.
    2. VMware environments, SAN connections (iSCSI/Fiber), and Windows Server OS.
    3. Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS/DHCP, and Remote Desktop.
    4. Enterprise email systems, including Exchange and Microsoft Office 365.
  4. Collaborate with helpdesk teams as the bridge between Tier 2 support and client-facing implementations.
  5. Perform technical designs for new deployments, migrations, and high-availability solutions.
  6. Conduct proactive assessments, monitoring, and maintenance, aligning technology with industry best practices.
  7. Assist clients with security and compliance frameworks, including NIST and CMMC, through vulnerability management, policy creation, and risk mitigation (e.g., SSP, POAM).
  8. Provide on-site client support for escalated issues and scheduled visits (includes monthly on-call rotation).

Key Qualifications:

  1. Hands-on deployment experience managing end-to-end server room stacks (ISP > Firewall > Switches > SAN > Servers).
  2. 5+ years in systems/network administration, with proven experience in virtualization (VMware or Hyper-V).
  3. Expertise in networking fundamentals: VLANs, QoS, VPNs, firewalls, routing, and switching.
  4. Strong background in Windows Server OS, Active Directory, and Exchange Server.
  5. Familiarity with cybersecurity tools such as SIEM, vulnerability management, and endpoint security solutions.
  6. Ability to design, document, and implement technical solutions tailored to business needs.
  7. Excellent troubleshooting skills and experience working with MSP-specific tools and processes.
  8. Having one of the following certifications is a requirement: CASP+, CCNP Security, CISA, CISSP, GCED, or GCIH.
  9. Certifications such as VMware VCP, Microsoft Server (MCSA/MCSE), are a plus.
  10. Reliable transportation for on-site visits, and ability to lift 50-100 pounds.

Why Join Us?

  1. Be part of a team committed to growth, excellence, and community impact.
  2. Work in a collaborative, mission-driven environment where your technical expertise drives success.
  3. Take ownership of projects and play a critical role in expanding our services to meet the needs of CMMC-compliant industries.
