Our client, a specialty finance company in Chicago, IL, is currently seeking a Vice President, Commercial Real Estate Underwriter to join their growing team. The incumbent will underwrite a variety of commercial real estate assets including hotel, retail, industrial, multifamily, self-storage, manufactured home communities, student housing, and healthcare real estate up to $75MM.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed investment analysis to assess the risk and credit dynamics of each transaction
• Transaction due diligence and market analysis
• Financial modeling
• Preparation of credit memos
• Present financial information to senior management
• Manage closing process

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree is required
• Minimum of seven years of CRE underwriting experience
• Strong CRE market knowledge
• Experience with a variety of asset types
• Must have Microsoft Excel experience
• CoStar and Argus experience preferred
• Team player and excellent communicator
