Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

Process Development & Optimization:

  • Develop and refine chemical processes to improve efficiency, yield, and safety.
  • Optimize reaction conditions, raw material selection, and process parameters for production.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve process deviations, quality issues, and scaling challenges.

Analytical Testing & Quality Control:

  • Conduct chemical analysis using HPLC, GC, spectroscopy, titration, and other analytical techniques.
  • Monitor process performance and product consistency, making data-driven recommendations.
  • Collaborate with the quality team to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Scale-Up & Manufacturing Support:

  • Assist in the transition from lab-scale to pilot and full-scale production.
  • Provide technical support to production teams for troubleshooting and process improvements.
  • Work with equipment vendors and suppliers to enhance process capabilities.

Regulatory & Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure adherence to environmental, health, and safety regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA).
  • Maintain and update SOPs, safety data sheets (SDS), and regulatory documentation.
  • Identify and implement process safety improvements to minimize risk.

Collaboration & Continuous Improvement:

  • Work closely with R&D, engineering, and production teams to implement new technologies.
  • Lead or participate in process improvement projects to enhance efficiency and reduce waste.
  • Stay up to date on industry advancements, new materials, and emerging technologies.


Qualifications:

Education:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

  • 2-5 years of experience in process chemistry, chemical manufacturing, or related industries.
  • Hands-on experience with chemical synthesis, reaction optimization, and process troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with analytical instruments and techniques for quality control.

Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and within cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent attention to detail and documentation skills.
  • Knowledge of process safety, regulatory compliance, and industry best practices.
