An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a dynamic and collegial legal team at a leading national law firm. Our client is seeking a talented and motivated associate to join their Emerging Companies & Venture Capital (ECVC) practice, focusing on representing high-growth companies and their founding teams throughout their lifecycle—from business formation and fundraising to exits.

The work spans various industries including software, consumer products, healthcare, financial services, alternative energy, and digital media.
Key Responsibilities:
- Represent clients in venture capital financings and related start-up matters
- Assist with M&A transactions and provide ongoing legal support to companies through all stages of their development
- Manage day-to-day client relationships and serve as a trusted advisor
- Collaborate with senior attorneys on sophisticated matters at a national level
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 3-6 years of experience at a top national law firm handling venture capital financings and start-up work
- Strong experience with M&A transactions
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Confidence in managing multiple projects and deadlines under time pressure while maintaining a collaborative team spirit
- Admitted to the California or New York State Bar
Compensation: $260,000 - $420,000, commensurate with experience.
