The Grinding Operator will also operate small hand tools and equipment in the use of moving and processing products as well as ensuring the machining production schedule is executed to time, quality, and productivity requirements. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned as required): Responsible for set-up and operating machine tools to create / modify ceramic parts for direct sale to a customer.Set up industrial machinery and oversee its functioning. Must be able to interpret and use blueprints for specific piece design, as well as calibrate equipment to follow product specifications. Follow strict company and industry safety regulations, as well as a tightly controlled sequence of functions and equipment programming functions. Must be able to communicate effectively with other machinists and supervisors, as well as attend regular training sessions for updates on equipment use. May provide training to team members on relevant industry processes and equipment operations safety.Must be self-sufficient and work well with minimal supervision and must be able to detect and correct program errors in a timely fashion.Follow directions, SOP’s, and documented protocols.Properly and safely load and unload raw materials in machinery, as well as change out tools as required.
