Job Posting: Inventory Control Specialist

Location: Rockland County, New York

Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM (100% on-site)

Salary: $85,000 - $95,000 per year

About the Role:

We’re looking for an organized and detail-oriented individual with a strong background in manufacturing (electronics is a plus!) to join our client's team as an Inventory Control Specialist. This position plays a crucial role in coordinating with Engineering and QA to meet material standards and minimize non-conformances. The successful candidate will manage inventory levels, execute purchase orders, and ensure timely delivery schedules.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Coordinated with Engineering and QA to meet material standards and minimize non-conformances.
• Controlled inventory levels to optimize company financial resources.
• Planned and executed purchase orders with subcontractors for Hybrid subassemblies, ensuring parts were tested and qualified if required.
• Coordinated with Planning/Production to maintain accurate delivery schedules and communicated with suppliers to proactively resolve delivery issues.
• Oversaw the accuracy of inventory at subcontractor locations to ensure production readiness.
• Kept subcontractors informed of Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and reviewed excess inventory caused by changes.
• Entered orders from subcontractors/suppliers for parts supplied and monitored delivery timelines to meet production schedules.
• Assisted management in evaluating vendor reliability and developing new supply sources to gain competitive advantages in cost, reliability, or schedule.

Qualifications:

• Manufacturing experience required; electronics experience a plus.
• ERP experience required; SAP experience a plus.
• Availability to start before February to align with our SAP rollout.
