Procurement Specialist
Location: Martinez, CA
Position Type: Temp-to-Hire, Fully Onsite
Compensation: $28 - $32/hour DOE
Schedule: 7:30 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday.
About the Role:
We are seeking a skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team in Alameda, CA, with a focus on optimizing purchasing processes for our construction projects. This is a temp-to-hire position where you will work closely with the Procurement Manager and Engineering Draftsman to manage purchasing orders, price out builds, and secure top-quality manufacturers at competitive prices. The role also involves drafting project plans in AutoCAD and requires effective communication.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage purchasing orders, source pricing, and select optimal manufacturers for project builds.
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure all procurement needs are met efficiently.
- Use AutoCAD to create and update project design plans accurately.
- Provide exceptional customer service by effectively coordinating with field employees and other departments.
Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience in procurement, preferably within the construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel required.
- Strong communication skills - verbal and written
- Experience in a construction setting.
