Applicants' education/experience will be considered and the position may be filled at a lower or higher level, as appropriate. *nnWORK SCHEDULE:nnTuesday - Friday evenings, 12:00 noon to 10:30pmnnComputed Tomography Technologist I:nnJOB DESCRIPTIONnnThe CT Technologist I position works independently to complete a variety of routine diagnostic CT procedures to include common and special CT exams of moderate complexity. This position provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic and special CT procedures. This CT Technologist I position delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to CT exam standards, radiation dose standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service. This includes: positioning, physiology, procedure preparation, and technical factors.nnAssistsphysicians during diagnostic or special procedures, including assisting with sterile technique.nnUtilizes AIDET incorporating Key Words and MANGAGE UP techniques, when speaking to patients and family members at an age-appropriate level.nnPractices radiation safety and ALARA (As Lowas Reasonably Achievable)nnFollows safety standards and conducts all imaging procedures accordingly.nnMaintains proper sterile techniques for procedures.nnComplies withjob role, department and hospital safety standards, practices and policies.nnParticipates in WASTE walks and supports department LEAN projects.nnReports near misses and inputs errors promptly into appropriate hospital patient safety reporting system to improve processes and identifytrends.nnPerforms imaging equipment quality control (QC) ensuring all imaging equipment is in safe working order prior to use.nnUtilizes critical thinking skills to observe and proactively address patient reactions (i.e. medications) or potential outcomes and obtains assistance, as appropriate.nnProvides accurate and complete documentation of patient procedures. Entercharges at the time service is delivered.nnUses resources efficiently; does not waste supplies.nnEnsures their personal timecard is accurate and approves it in a timely mannerto prevent retro amendments.nnParticipates in department projects or shared governance activities.nnSeeks opportunities to expand learning beyond baseline competencies with a focus on continual development as a technologist.nnComputed Tomography Technologist II:nnJOB DESCRIPTIONnnThe CT Technologist II position is an experienced technologist who completes a variety of moderate to complex diagnostic CT procedures to include common and special exams of high difficulty. This position is a member of the direct patient care team and is fully competent in all aspects of CT exams. The CT Technologist II position serves as a mentor and trainerto the CT Technologist I and students.This position works independently by exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging diagnostic procedures.The CT Technologist II position provides direct assistance to physicians with all diagnostic andspecial CT procedures.
