Primary Function: Our Middleville, Michigan location is seeking a dynamic and experienced
Senior HR Manager. This role will be the lead business partner supporting manufacturing operation, and is pivotal in driving HR initiatives, supporting our organizational goals and enhancing employee engagement. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of HR best practices, strong experience in labor relations, and the ability to foster a positive workplace culture.
Responsibilities:- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement HR strategies aligned with the organization's goals and objectives. Collaborate with senior leadership to drive organizational change and growth.
- Team Leadership and Development: Lead and mentor HR team, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented environment.
- Employee Relations: Utilize strong labor relations expertise to navigate negotiations and foster constructive relationships with union representatives. Act as a trusted advisor to management and employees, addressing concerns, resolving conflicts, and promoting a positive work environment.
- Compensation and Benefits: Manage compensation and benefit programs to attract and retain top talent while ensuring competitiveness and compliance.
- Talent Management: Lead and implement strategies in talent acquisition, training, performance management, and succession planning processes to ensure a high-performing workforce.
- Policy Development: Create, implement, and maintain HR policies and procedures that comply with legal regulations and promote organizational values.
Job Requirements:- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field; Master's degree or HR certification (e.g., SHRM-SCP, SPHR) preferred.
- 7+ years of progressive HR experience, 3 or more years in a managerial role preferred
- Strong experience and demonstrated ability in labor relations, including negotiation, conflict resolution, and understanding of collective bargaining agreements.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to develop and implement HR strategies that drive organizational success.
- Experience in change management and organizational development.
- Strong analytical skills and experience with HR metrics and reporting.
- Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
