Location: Akron, Pennsylvania

Compensation: $23-$27/hr.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and schedule calibration for all monitoring and measurement equipment used for product acceptance.
• Maintain and update the calibration database.
• Develop, execute, and maintain calibration procedures and work instructions.
• Coordinate with external suppliers for calibration services and oversee the control of out-of-calibration or damaged equipment.
• Research, evaluate, and manage calibration suppliers, including initiating purchase orders and monitoring their performance.
• Collaborate with subject matter experts to expand internal calibration capabilities.
• Participate in audits by external customers or third-party auditors.
• Assist the inspection team during peak periods to ensure timely completion of inspections.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree preferred).
• 3+ years of quality and manufacturing experience.
• Proficiency in calibration management software and techniques for in-house calibrations.
• Strong knowledge of calibration requirements, measuring units (millimeters and inches), and quality standards (ISO 9001, AS9100, and military standards).
• Detail-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and willing to learn more.
• Effective communicator with the ability to collaborate across departments and with external suppliers.
• Travel requirement: <5% to off-site supplier locations.
