A highly regarded law firm is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join its Seattle office. This is an excellent opportunity for attorneys who are eager to develop their skills in a high-volume civil litigation practice while providing legal counsel to cannabis industry clients on regulatory and compliance issues. The role offers flexible work schedules and the opportunity for both in-office collaboration and remote work options, fostering a strong firm culture.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handling civil litigation matters, including initiating new cases, filing dispositive and non-dispositive motions, issuing and responding to discovery requests, and attending court appearances across Washington state (both in person and virtually).
• Advising cannabis industry clients on regulatory and compliance matters in collaboration with the firm’s multidisciplinary team of attorneys.
• Conducting legal research and drafting briefs, pleadings, motions, contracts, affidavits, and settlement agreements.
• Taking and defending depositions, as well as handling discovery procedures.

Qualifications:

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active and in good standing license to practice law in Washington.
• 3-5 years of litigation experience, particularly in civil litigation and high-volume practice.
• Excellent legal research, writing, and advocacy skills.
• Ability to work meticulously, ensuring the highest quality of work product.
