Job Description

CHAGEE (pronounced CHAH-jee) is a modern tea house with over 6,000 locations globally.

Our teas have a rich cultural heritage stretching across several thousand years. We are one of the earliest regional teahouse chains positioned as the purveyor of modern tea culture. Our mission is to refresh and reintroduce the lifestyle of tea to the world, where guests can connect in a beautiful space and enjoy premium and diverse flavors of tea.

Through our stores across Malaysia, China, Singapore, and Thailand, we serve a staggering 100 million cups of tea monthly. CHAGEE is excited to expand to the US market, and this is your chance to be part of an exhilarating journey as we deliver the taste of authentic tea culture to America.

Overview:

Elevate your career with CHAGEE as our Human Resource Business Partner. In this role, you will be the key HR partner for CHAGEE’s corporate and store-level hourly employees, supporting their growth, engagement, and success. You’ll collaborate closely with leadership to ensure the delivery of HR services and strategies that foster an engaging workplace culture. If you’re passionate about creating meaningful employee experiences, this is the role for you.

What you'll do:

  • Employee Relations: Serve as the primary HR contact for corporate and hourly employees, addressing concerns and resolving workplace issues in alignment with company policies and values.
  • Recruitment and Onboarding: Support store managers with hiring, onboarding, and training processes to ensure smooth integration of part-time and full-time employees.
  • Process Creation: Support the build out of the HR function by creating new processes and policies where needed.
  • Policy Implementation: Communicate and enforce HR policies, ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal labor laws.
  • Performance Management: Guide store leaders in managing employee performance, including coaching, feedback, and development plans.
  • Engagement and Retention: Design and implement strategies to improve employee satisfaction, engagement, and retention among store teams.
  • HR Metrics and Reporting: Track and analyze HR data such as turnover rates, employee feedback, and retention metrics to inform decision-making.
  • Workforce Planning: Collaborate with corporate and store leadership to ensure staffing aligns with operational needs and customer demand.
  • Compliance: Maintain knowledge of labor laws and ensure store practices meet legal requirements, including wage and hour laws, meal/rest breaks, and safety standards.
  • Foster a culture of collaboration, inclusivity, and exceptional customer service across store teams.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in a rapidly evolving environment.
  • Be prepared for duties and responsibilities to evolve, and show a willingness to step outside of your usual scope to support the company's growth. Expect opportunities for personal and professional growth as you navigate new challenges.

Experience you need to be successful:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of HR experience, with a focus on employee relations, recruitment, and compliance for hourly workforces in retail or food & beverage industries.
  • Ability to lead with an "internal customer service" mindset, supporting employees across the organization in ways that exemplify integrity, togetherness and sincerity.
  • Strong knowledge of labor laws and compliance requirements for corproate and hourly employees.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to build trust with store teams.
  • Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analysis for tracking HR metrics.
  • Ability to coach managers and employees to resolve conflicts and improve performance.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.

What We Offer:

  • Competitive salary
  • 401K with company match to secure your future
  • Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision insurance with company contribution for individuals and dependents
  • On-site fitness center and wellness programs
  • Generous paid time off and sick policy
  • Income protection including Disability, Life, and AD&D insurance
  • EAP Program to support your wellness objectives

Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity to be at the forefront of CHAGEE's expansion into the US market. Join us in shaping the future of premium tea culture and creating unforgettable experiences that will captivate global tea enthusiasts. Apply now and be part of something truly extraordinary!
