About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President of Operations to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for both project and regional-level profit and loss, as well as maintaining positive cash flow. This role requires a strategic approach to business planning, with a focus on client relationships, subcontractor and supplier partnerships, and supporting the sales process. The VP of Operations will also be accountable for the financial well-being of the territory, ensuring a competitive and sustainable low-cost structure, and driving the execution of the strategic business plan. Key responsibilities include overseeing the change order process, billings, and SG&A costs, as well as guiding and directing operations management in all aspects of the organization's projects and services.Applicants for the VP of Operations position at the company should have a Bachelor's degree and at least 20 years of related experience, with a minimum of 10 years in a senior-level construction management role. Proficiency in Microsoft software is required, and a basic understanding of construction software is preferred. The role demands exceptional interpersonal skills, the ability to develop and inspire a diverse workforce, and a strong focus on client satisfaction. The ideal candidate will be adept at reading and interpreting business documents, identifying and mitigating risks, and communicating effectively at all levels. A discerning individual with the ability to work through complex business and people issues, and a strong knowledge of financial, insurance, and bonding aspects of the company, is essential.
