About the Role
The Company is seeking a Vice President and Chief Medical Officer (VP/CMO) to provide dynamic physician executive leadership for two important community hospitals within a large integrated health system. The VP/CMO will be responsible for spearheading clinical initiatives to enhance quality and safety outcomes, leading evidence-based programs, and practices that deliver quality service and financial results. This role requires a performance-driven, collaborative physician leader who can enhance patient services, physician alignment, and satisfaction. The successful candidate will also be tasked with maintaining proactive communication with the medical staff, leading through influence, and interfacing with a wide range of stakeholders.The ideal candidate for the VP/CMO position should have a strong background in clinical leadership, with a focus on quality and safety. Key responsibilities include physician relations, medical staff communications, and ensuring clinical input into strategic planning. The VP/CMO will have oversight of performance for medical management, patient care metrics, safety initiatives, quality and service excellence, physician leadership development, and physician recruitment. The role demands a leader who can effectively manage clinical information systems, support physician performance improvement, and have a strategic impact on the organization's healthcare delivery. The individual must be a proactive communicator, a liaison between administration and the medical staff, and have the ability to lead by influence.
