Design Technologist

Contract: 6 months

Toronto - Downtown - onsite

Pay: T4 - $99.99/hr OR Incorporated - $110.77/hr

Our client is looking for a talented Design Technologist to join their team and drive innovation at the intersection of design and technology.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver AI-accelerated design tools through technical analysis, customer experimentation, and data-driven insights.
• Address customer challenges by defining success metrics, prototyping solutions, and supporting final implementations.
• Build in-house solutions for a design platform, integrate third-party tools (e.g., Figma plugins), and securely connect design system data with external tools.
• Conduct build/buy/partner analyses to recommend platform enhancements.
• Advocate for the adoption of AI-accelerated design tools through effective stakeholder and customer communications.
• Serve as a subject matter expert, supporting designers and developers in utilizing new tools.

Skills & Qualifications:

• 5+ years of hybrid design and development experience, working closely with both designers and developers.
• Deep knowledge of frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, React/TypeScript).
• Experience with design systems, data integration, and AI technologies.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills to influence stakeholders and teams.
• Expertise in accessibility standards across design and code.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies and organizational tools.
• Proven track record of delivering reusable or componentized code (preferred).
• A passion for design systems, innovation, and creating seamless customer experiences.
