Skills Required

• Ability to navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for troubleshooting equipment faults.
• Ability to modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots (Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700).
• Proficiency in performing both gas and electric welding operations.
• Ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties. Determine repair procedures and implement those repairs to prevent reoccurrence.

Experience Required

• 48 months of related experience in Allen Bradley, Hydraulics, Robotics, and Welding.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting die casting machine cells using PLCs and electrical and hydraulic schematics.

Education Required

• Must be able to apply principles acquired through technical or vocational subjects (certificates or some college courses).

Position Details

Perform a wide variety of skilled and complex mechanical and electrical maintenance work. This includes installing, repairing, and maintaining manufacturing equipment and plant facilities to ensure satisfactory operation of equipment and processes. This position is moderately physical.

• Diagnose mechanical, electrical/electronic, hydraulic, and combustion malfunctions and operating difficulties. Determine repair procedures and implement those repairs to prevent reoccurrence.
• Navigate and interpret ladder logic in SLC 500, PLC 5, and Control Logix software for troubleshooting equipment faults.
• Modify positions and diagnose problems on ABB robots (Models M94, M98, M2000, M2600, and M6700).
• Install, move, and align new and existing equipment.
• Set up and operate various types of machine shop equipment with moderate accuracy and efficiency.
• Perform both gas and electric welding operations.
• Complete related machine repair records, perform associated handling duties, and maintain the work area in a neat and orderly condition.
• Perform all necessary preventive and proactive tasks on plant equipment.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by supervision and/or designated team leader.
