Job Title: Construction/Lead Superintendent

Location: Ruskin, Florida (Projects in Sarasota, Hillsborough, and Manatee Counties)

Position Overview:

Our Client is seeking an experienced Lead Superintendent to oversee commercial construction projects in Southwest Florida. This role is vital in ensuring project success by adhering to strict schedules, budgets, safety protocols, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience as a lead superintendent on commercial construction projects. While tilt-wall experience is a plus, it is not a requirement.

Key Responsibilities:

• On-Site Supervision:
• Lead and manage all on-site construction activities, ensuring compliance with project plans and specifications.
• Supervise subcontractors, suppliers, and construction personnel to ensure efficient and effective operations.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for all on-site activities and personnel.
• Schedule Management:
• Coordinate daily and weekly construction activities to maintain the project timeline.
• Identify potential scheduling conflicts and implement proactive solutions to keep the project on track.
• Conduct regular progress meetings to review and update schedules with the project team and stakeholders.
• Quality Assurance:
• Act as the on-site quality control coordinator, ensuring all work meets project specifications and company standards.
• Conduct pre-installation meetings with subcontractors to clarify quality expectations.
• Perform regular inspections and resolve any issues or discrepancies promptly.
• Safety Oversight:
• Promote and enforce strict adherence to jobsite safety protocols to create a safe working environment for all personnel.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety regulations.
• Address and resolve safety concerns proactively to prevent incidents.
• Problem Resolution:
• Identify and address potential problems and conflicts in contract documents or construction processes.
• Work closely with Project Managers and Executives to resolve issues effectively and minimize project delays or cost impacts.
• Project Coordination:
• Attend and actively participate in project meetings with internal teams and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the Project Manager to maintain alignment on project goals, timelines, and budgets.
• Assist in coordinating the delivery of materials, equipment, and subcontractor work to ensure seamless project execution.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent on commercial construction projects.
• Expertise in supervising tilt-wall construction projects is a plus, but not required.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively, coordinate complex activities, and achieve project objectives.
