Business Analyst

Location: Hybrid (Must be local to Michigan)

Overview:

We are looking for a seasoned Business Analyst who will be responsible for understanding business needs, gathering requirements, mapping data flows, and providing end-to-end support for ongoing data projects.

Position Responsibilities:

• Lead requirements gathering sessions with diverse business and technical audiences for complex data projects.
• Translate business needs into user stories, storyboards, process flows, and functional requirements in tools like JIRA.
• Collaborate with technical teams (data engineers, cloud engineers, analytics engineers) to map data sources, document data flows, and address data ingestion requirements.
• Proactively identify and map data sources, ensuring alignment with business metrics and objectives.
• Provide insights into data warehousing, data migration, and data mapping processes, enabling informed decision-making.
• Work with business and technical teams to resolve data flow challenges, ensuring data privacy and compliance with regulations.
• Write SQL queries to validate data, analyze results, and support decision-making processes.
• Create wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to support technical development and business process improvement.

Required Experience and Skills:

• 5+ years as a Business Analyst working on IT projects
• Strong understanding of Agile methodology and tools like JIRA for requirements documentation.
• Expertise in creating wireframes, storyboards, and process flow diagrams
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interact effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Must be local to Michigan and able to work in a hybrid model.
