The Foundation for Animal Care and Education (FACE) is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) public charity that provides financial grants for pets in need of critical and lifesaving veterinary care when their owners are unable to fully afford the cost of treatment. Established in San Diego in 2006, FACE has expanded its lifesaving work to Oahu, saving over 4,000 family pets from "economic euthanasia." FACE's mission is made possible through generous donations from animal lovers and the support of over 200 veterinary partners.
Role Description
This is a full-time on-site Major Gifts Officer role based in San Diego, CA at FACE. The Major Gifts Officer will be responsible for managing and cultivating relationships with donors, developing and implementing annual and planned giving strategies, conducting prospect research, fostering philanthropy, and maintaining alumni relations in support of FACE's mission.
Qualifications
- Planned Giving and Annual Giving expertise
- Experience in Prospect Research and Philanthropy
- Strong skills in Alumni Relations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team
- Experience in the nonprofit sector is preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Fundraising, or related field
