Job Description

Position Overview:

The Sr. HR Business Partner will play a pivotal role as a trusted partner and advisor to business leaders and employees. This position will administer and support HR initiatives that align with company goals and values by leveraging their HR knowledge to support the investment in our employees. This role will have functionally aligned responsibilities in areas to include, but not limited to employee relations, data reporting and analytics, compliance, compensation, and the development in talent and performance management strategies.

Principle Duties and Responsibilities (Essential Functions**) :

  • Manages the Individual Development Plan and Performance Management programs, including educating managers on best practices.
  • Lead the onboarding process, partnering with business leaders to integrate new employees, helping them feel welcomed, informed and prepared to contribute effectively
  • Sensitively and confidentially handles employee relations, partnering with managers and employees to resolve performance issues or other issues that may arise.
  • Assists and educates employees by answering questions, supplying information, and developing training as necessary.
  • Partner with the Sr. Learning & Development Business Partner to assess learning needs, deliver/facilitate training to enhance employee development & engagement
  • Partner in the development of talent and performance management strategies, to include but not limited to internships, succession planning, career pathing, and new/upcoming programs.
  • Administer, maintain and provide reporting insights on employee engagement surveys
  • Provide support in areas such as benefits, compensation and recruitment
  • Ability to work in a hybrid working environment, with several days in the office and several days remote, unless an ADA accommodation is needed.
  • Other duties as needed or required.


Qualifications & Skills:

REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or related field and at least 4-6 years’ progressive HR experience; experience may substitute for education.
  • Minimum 4-6 years’ experience as a HRBP or HR Generalist.
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel
  • Proficient with MS office applications.
  • Must be self-managed, able to work independently and well within a team to meet established deadlines.
  • Strong ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Thorough knowledge of applicable HR laws (e.g., state and federal labor laws, FLSA, WA PFML, leave laws, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Deals with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity and demonstrate good judgment in resolving issues.

PREFERRED:

  • HR Certification such as SHRM-CP or PHR.
  • Prior experience with ADP HRIS.
