Onward Search is seeking passionate and skilled Paraprofessionals to join a dynamic and collaborative school team in Oakland County, MI. With both part-time and full-time openings, this is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact in students' lives. Positions start ASAP and run through June 2025, with potential to extend into the next school year.
Details You Should Know:
- Location: In-person only (no hybrid or virtual options)
- Schedule:
- Part-time: 12.5 hours/week (elementary grade levels)
- Full-time: 37.5-40 hours/week (preschool)
- Start Date: ASAP
- End Date: End of the 2025 school year, with potential to extend
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct support to students in classrooms, small groups, or individually.
- Assist teachers with implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students.
- Monitor and support students' academic and social progress.
- Collaborate with educators, support staff, and families to meet students' needs.
- Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a safe, organized learning space.
Qualifications:
- 60 semester hours from an accredited college or university, OR an Associate's Degree or higher.
- Pass a state or local academic assessment, such as: ETS ParaPro Assessment, SAT (College Board), Michigan Test for Teacher Certification (MTTC) Basic Skills Test, WorkKeys Assessment
