On behalf of our client in the packaging machinery industry, we are looking for a Managing Director who will be reporting directly to the CEO of the company group in Germany.

Tasks and responsibilities

• Full responsibility for the US operations with focus on service and organizational development
• Secure compliance and legality reporting into the group in Germany
• Manage a small team in Atlanta
• Grow the portfolio of the service offerings
• Actively push service sales in the US and CAN (Parts & Services)
• Overview and optimize material logistics in Atlanta
• Further develop the service technician set-up
• Further clarify roles and responsibilities with the US organization
• Create and further develop the team spirit on-site
• Increase the value creation of the equipment in the US
• Strategic development of the organization and portfolio in the US

Qualifications, skills and competencies

• Entrepreneurial mindset with a sense for growth
• Hands-on problem-solving mentality
• Team player and team leader
• Willingness to travel the country (min 25%)
• Experience in the machinery industry, ideally in Packaging or printing
• Solid technical background with either an engineering degree or similar experience
• Strong Service mindset and preferably experience in a service organization
• Placed in or willing to move to the Atlanta region to work on-site
