On behalf of our international client, leading manufacture of cargo high loaders and aircraft tractors, YER USA is looking for an experienced Parts & Service Advisor for their subsidiary in Duluth, GA.
As liaison between customers and service technicians, the Parts & Service Advisor will work with customers to determine their equipment issues and problems, determine the repair timeline, and work with technicians to convey their requests with accurate repair descriptions. To be a successful in this role, you should have excellent customer service and interpersonal and communication skills. It would be best to have a strong understanding of automotive or heavy equipment technology.
Key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Communicating with customers via phone and e-mail
- Consulting with technicians regarding warranty repairs/commissioning and travel schedule
- Scheduling of technicians and local service providers for warranty-related repairs
- Answering questions about service outcomes and scheduling
- Calling customers to inform them of service changes or schedules
- Coordinating with our after-sales team in Germany for technical assistance and spare parts supply
- Coordinating with the warranty department in Germany to arrange for the delivery of warranty parts and the return of select warranty parts to Germany for inspection
- Managing and overseeing workflow and schedule
- Maintaining positive customer relationships to ensure customer satisfaction
- Building and maintaining solid relationships with internal and external partners
Candidate profile
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in the automotive or heavy equipment field required
- Prior experience working in an office setting
- Familiarity with automotive technology and the automotive industry
- Strong organizational, decision-making, and problem-solving skills
- Good written and spoken English language skills; additional foreign language skills a plus
- Confident handling of Microsoft Office Suites (i.e., Excel, Word, etc.) or similar applications
- Excellent customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Ability to communicate confidently and competently with mechanics, customers, and management
