Pride Health is hiring a Medical Assistant- Physician Services to support our client’s facility in North Bergen, NJ. This is a 13-week contract (Possibility of extension or conversion) opportunity and a great way to start working with a top-tier healthcare organization!
Job Summary:
We are looking for a Certified Medical Assistant to join our Endocrine Office team in North Bergen, NJ. In this role, you will be responsible for providing clinical care to patients under the supervision of licensed medical professionals and assisting with clerical office tasks. This position requires bilingual communication skills and experience working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms, including necessary supplies and instruments.
- Assist patients with getting ready for physician visits and examinations.
- Take and record patients' vital signs in their medical charts.
- Perform EKGs, PFTs, Audiometry, Titmus Tests, UDS, BAT, phlebotomy, and other lab testing after performance evaluations.
- Maintain accurate patient records and file them as required.
- Assist with billing and collection procedures when necessary.
- Use computer software for office systems and maintain records.
- Ensure confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information appropriately.
- Modify care to meet the specific needs of the patient population (age, culture, language, etc.).
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers at their appropriate level.
- Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA)
- Current AHA BLS certification required.
- Bilingual communication skills are required.

- Job Type: 13-week contract
- Shifts: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
- Pay Range : $800-$1000 Weekly
*Offered pay rate will be based on education, experience, and healthcare credentials.
