Senior Manager/VP, Financial Reporting /Special Projects - Midtown Family Office - $250K-$275K + bonus (Hybrid Schedule)


The Company: A leading NYC-based Family Office serving current and former senior executives of a globally renowned investment firm, their families, and affiliated entities. This Family Office provides comprehensive wealth management services, including investment administration, financial reporting, trust and estate planning, and business transaction oversight. The firm allows one day a week to work from home.


The Position: The team is expanding and seeks a Senior Manager/VP of Financial Reporting to lead high-net-worth client assignments, oversee financial reporting, and manage complex financial and business matters for the family office’s clients and affiliated entities.


Responsibilities:

  • Lead the preparation and review of quarterly personal financial statements and monthly deliverables for individuals, foundations, trusts, investment partnerships, and other entities.
  • Manage special projects, including financial modeling, cash flow projections, and analyses for real estate transactions, investment proposals, financings, and entity structuring.
  • Oversee accounting for high-value assets such as aircraft, artwork, farms, collections, and real estate properties.
  • Prepare and review client presentation materials and participate in client meetings to discuss financial results and ongoing projects.
  • Track and analyze investment performance using Addepar for family assets, including liquid securities, alternative investments, and real estate holdings.
  • Oversee finance and accounting matters related to real estate properties within the portfolio.
  • Coordinate and review insurance coverage, including life/liability and property/casualty insurance for family assets.
  • Review charitable agreements, track charitable pledges, and manage donor-advised funds and private foundations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA preferred.
  • 15+ years of relevant experience in financial reporting, family office, or HNW client accounting.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger software (Agilink or Dynamics a plus).
  • Experience with investment tracking applications (Addepar preferred).
  • Deep understanding of financial reporting for high-net-worth individuals, trusts, and foundations.
  • Excellent analytical skills, capable of handling complex financial structures.


Compensation: $250K-$275K plus bonus and benefits
